Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s six precincts this week charged 102 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged 17 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, North Hilson Drive, Porter Road, and Harding Place. Seized were 1.6 ounces of cocaine, 5.5 ounces of marijuana, two grams of methamphetamine, seven Morphine pills, four Percocet pills, one vehicle, and $643 cash.

West Precinct detectives charged 21 persons as the result of investigations on Wade Avenue, the 1500 block of Demonbruen Street, the 3700 block of Charlotte Pike, and 14th Avenue South at Horton Avenue. Seized were 63.8 grams of cocaine, over six pounds of marijuana, 151 Lortab pills, 12 methadone pills, 43 Xanax pills, two Oxycontin pills, one weapon, and $180 cash.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 11 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Millwood Drive, University Court, Lewis Street, and the Smith Springs Recreation Area. Seized were two grams of cocaine.

North Precinct detectives charged 27 persons as the result of investigations on Brick Church Pike, Westchester Drive, Emmett Avenue, Madison Boulevard, Willow Creek Court, Creekwood Drive, and Clay Street. Seized were 23.1 grams of cocaine, 5.6 ounces of marijuana, .2 grams of heroin, nine various pills, four weapons, and $585 cash.

East Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on North 2nd Street, North 1st Street, Kirkland Avenue, Norton Avenue, the James Cayce public housing development, South 12th Street at Lenore Street, and in the 900 block of North 5th Street. Seized were 4.4 grams of cocaine, 2.5 pounds of marijuana, one Dilaudid pill, and 120 Lortab pills.

Central Precinct detectives charged 12 persons as the result of investigations on Wallace Road, North 1st Street, Woodland Street, and Lafayette Street. Seized were 27 grams of cocaine, one vehicle, and $6,180 cash.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
