Metro Police patch

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Metro police and the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force are working to identify the man who robbed SunTrust Bank’s 7185 Whites Creek Pike Branch in Joelton at 2:10 p.m. today.

The suspect approached a teller, passed a robbery demand note, and implied that he had a weapon. He was given cash and fled the bank on foot. Efforts by patrol officers, a police canine team, and an aviation unit to locate the robber were unsuccessful.

The robber is described as a white man, 5’11” tall, with a dark mustache and short beard. He was wearing a light-colored button shirt, cargo pants, and a ball cap.

Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
