
Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s six precincts this week charged 92 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 13 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Harding Place, Wedgewood Avenue, and Haywood Lane. Seized were two ounces of cocaine, 357.35 grams of marijuana, 182 pills, one vehicle, and $3,084 cash.
West Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Charlotte Pike, 12th Avenue South at Wedgewood and Argyle Avenues, Church Street, Park Avenue, and Demonbreun Street. Seized were 40 grams of cocaine and two grams of heroin.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 19 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Millwood Drive, Parris Avenue, Old Hickory Boulevard, Foster Avenue, Elm Hill Pike, and Robertson Street. Seized were one gram of cocaine and two grams of marijuana.
North Precinct detectives charged 24 persons as the result of investigations on Neeleys Bend Road, Gallatin Pike, Nolensville Pike, Old Hickory Boulevard, 23rd Avenue North, Walton Lane, Moorewood Drive, and Dickerson Pike. Seized were 33 ounces of cocaine, one pound of marijuana, 104 various pills, two weapons, three vehicles, and $2,443 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged 12 persons as the result of investigations on North 2nd Street, Joseph Avenue at Douglas Avenue, Long Avenue, Riverside Drive at Rosebank Avenue, Lawing Drive, Davidson Street at South 5th Street, Dickerson Pike at Gatewood Avenue, Queen Avenue, and Lucile Street. Seized were 8.9 grams of cocaine, over eight pounds of marijuana, 203 Dilaudid pills, two weapons, two vehicles, and $50,831 cash.
Central Precinct detectives charged four persons as the result of investigations on North 1st Street at Spring Street. Seized were three grams of cocaine and 20 ecstasy pills.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
