Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s six precincts this week charged 122 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged 26 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Cotton Lane, Wallace Road, Argyle Avenue, and Metroplex Drive. Seized were 13.5 grams of cocaine, ½ pound of marijuana, two vehicles, and $569 cash.

West Precinct detectives charged 24 persons as the result of investigations on Charlotte Pike, West End Avenue, 12th Avenue South at Edgehill Avenue, 11th Avenue North at Summitt Avenue, Park Avenue, and Clifton Avenue. Seized were 35 pounds of marijuana, one ounce of cocaine, 30 Lortab pills, and $27,500 cash.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 19 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Millwood Drive, Lewis Street, 4th Avenue South, Cameron Street, Parris Avenue, Fairfield Avenue, Wilhagan Road, and Lebanon Pike. Seized were two grams of cocaine, 15 grams of marijuana, and 50 various pills.

North Precinct detectives charged 19 persons as the result of investigations on Due West Avenue, Brick Church Pike, Trinity Lane, Westchester Drive, Old Hickory Boulevard, Gallatin Pike, Ponder Place, and Long Hollow Pike. Seized were 51.7 grams of cocaine, seven ounces of marijuana, two weapons, three vehicles, and $1,505 cash.

East Precinct detectives charged 12 persons as the result of investigations on North 2nd Street, the 1300 block of Litton Avenue, the 3900 block of Baxter Street, the 500 block of Norton Avenue, Dickerson Pike at Whites Creek Pike, Trinity Lane, Brick Church Pike at Fern Avenue, Gallatin Pike at Elvira Street, and North 7th Street at Ramsey Street. Seized were 34.3 grams of cocaine, over 2 pounds of marijuana, two weapons, and $1,590 cash.

Central Precinct detectives charged 22 persons as the result of investigations on Lafayette Street near 5th Avenue South and North 1st Street at Oldham Street. Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
