
Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s six precincts this week charged 94 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Neese Drive, Rice Road, Tampa Drive, Largo Drive, Murfreesboro Pike, Jupiter Drive, and Parris Avenue. Seized were 8 grams of cocaine, 100 grams of marijuana, and one weapon.
West Precinct detectives charged 26 persons as the result of investigations on Jefferson Street, Charlotte Pike, 8th Avenue South, 37th Avenue North at Park Avenue, and 31st Avenue South at West End Avenue. Seized were 28 pounds of marijuana, two ounces of cocaine, four ounces of methadone, four ounces of morphine, 81 Lortab pills, 2,000 Ecstasy pills, 3.5 Dilaudid pills, two vehicles, one weapon, and $2,638 cash.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Millwood Drive, Lewis Street, 4th Avenue South, and Lebanon Pike. Seized were 24 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of marijuana, over 195 various pills, one weapon, and $610 cash.
North Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Long Hollow Pike, Conference Drive, Metrocenter Boulevard, Berkley Drive, Archwood Drive, May Drive, Hillcrest Drive, Brick Church Pike, and Trinity Lane. Seized were 5.6 ounces of cocaine, 2.2 pounds of marijuana, 15 Ecstasy pills, one vehicle, six weapons, and $4,390 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged six persons as the result of investigations on North 2nd Street, Carter Avenue at Riverside Drive, Elvira Street, South 5th Street at Davidson and Dew Streets, and Dickerson Pike at Gatewood Avenue. Seized were 15 grams of marijuana, 1.2 grams of cocaine, and 13 Dilaudid pills.
Central Precinct detectives charged 13 persons as the result of investigations on Lafayette Street near 5th Avenue South, North 1st Street at Oldham Street, 2nd Avenue South near Lindsley Avenue, and Bonnacreek Drive. Seized were four grams of cocaine, three grams of marijuana, 121 various pills, and one vehicle.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
