
A stabbing victim who was brought to Vanderbilt University Medical Center last week died from his injuries today.
Tito Jimenez, 17, of 44th Avenue North, was stabbed during a verbal confrontation with Gonzolo Delcid at 4709 Illinois Avenue early Friday morning.
Delcid, a native of Honduras, has been the subject of a police search for the past several days after witnesses identified him as the suspect. An arrest warrant that initially charged Delcid with aggravated assault was amended today to criminal homicide. Delcid’s exact age is unknown. He is believed to be in his late twenties and last lived on 26th Avenue North.
Anyone seeing Delcid, who received a significant cut to his leg during the altercation, or knowing his whereabouts is urged to contact North Precinct Investigations at 862-7901 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
