The continuing investigation into this morning’s murder of 16-year-old Brandy Nichole White inside a Hillside Avenue apartment leads detectives to believe that she was in the wrong place at the wrong time and was not involved in a gang-related argument on Tuesday.
Latasha Black, 17, who was wounded, is thought to have been a party to the argument. Detectives continue to investigate what role the argument played in the gunfire. A 16-year-old taken into custody this afternoon as part of the investigation is being charged with auto theft, but not the shootings. Officers continue to pursue information that has been developed.
