
Undercover detectives assigned to five of the department’s six precincts this week charged 88 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Elysian Fields Drive, Cedarcroft Circle, Elgin Avenue, Dodge Drive, and Tuggle Drive. Seized were 11.7 grams of cocaine, 5.75 pounds of marijuana, 25 Ecstasy pills, one vehicle, and $4,872 cash.
West Precinct detectives charged 16 persons as the result of investigations on Jefferson Street, Charlotte Pike, Felicia Street, and Park Avenue. Seized were 50 pounds of marijuana, two methadone tablets, and 25 Lortab pills.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Millwood Drive, 2nd Avenue South, McCann Street, Hart Street, and Bell Road. Seized were 16 grams of cocaine, three grams of marijuana, and one weapon.
North Precinct detectives charged 28 persons as the result of investigations on Oakdell Avenue, Due West Avenue, Forrest Park Road, Welworth Street, Walton Lane, McMurtry Court, Gallatin Pike, Kingview Drive, and Boyce Court. Seized were 56.1 grams of cocaine, one pound of marijuana, 36 various pills, four weapons, two vehicles, and $3,070 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged nine persons as the result of investigations on North 2nd Street, South 5th Street at Davidson Street, Meridian Street near Grace Street, Gallatin Pike near Trinity Lane, McGavock Pike near Riverside Drive, and South 7th Street at Ramsey Street. Seized were 14 grams of marijuana, 1.1 grams of cocaine, 188 Dilaudid pills, one morphine pill, one Xanax pill, one vehicle, and $110 cash.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
