The Nashville man found shot to death Friday morning at a custom door and window manufacturer at 605 Merritt Avenue is identified as Jose Joaquin Sanchez, 46, of Rosemary Lane.

Sanchez had been employed by Xelica Door and Window as a mill worker for 2 ½ years. He generally arrived for work each morning around 5:30 a.m. where he would enter a side door and begin light carpentry duties in an industrial area in the back of the building. The owner of Xelica entered the front door of the business at 6 a.m. and found Sanchez a short time later lying on the floor near the side entrance.

Anyone with information about Sanchez’ murder is urged to contact South Precinct Detective David Achord at 862-7687.
