Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s six precincts this week charged 94 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged 11 persons as the result of investigations on Bell Road, Neese Drive, North 9th Street, and Shepherd Drive. Seized were 36.5 grams of cocaine, 71.7 grams of marijuana, and $500 cash.

West Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations in the 1500 block of Sweetbriar Drive, the 400 block of Bradford Drive, the 300 block of Rosebank Avenue, the 6600 block of Charlotte Pike, and in the 1800 block of Jefferson Street. Seized were 65 grams of cocaine, 80 pounds of marijuana, one weapon, and $550 cash.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 21 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Millwood Drive, 4th Avenue South, Hart Lane, Fairfield Avenue, and Lewis Street. Seized were 60 grams of marijuana, one gram of cocaine, and eleven various pills.

North Precinct detectives charged 24 persons as the result of investigations on Clarksville Pike, 25th and 26th Avenue North, Brick Church Pike, Westchester Drive, Gallatin Pike, East Webster Street, Ewing Lane, and Trinity Lane. Seized were 5.1 ounces of cocaine, 13 grams of marijuana, 18 Ecstasy pills, one vehicle, and $1,518 cash.

East Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on North 2nd Street, the 900 block of North 5th Street, the 200 block of Lucile Street, the 300 block of Trinity Lane, the 3800 block of Saunders Avenue, Gallatin Pike at Fairwin Avenue, the 1000 block of Shelby Avenue, and South 5th Street at Sylvan Street. Seized were seven grams of cocaine, two grams of marijuana, 29 Dilaudid pills, and one Xanax pill.

Central Precinct detectives charged three persons as the result of investigations on North 1st Street and Oldham Street. Seized were 12.6 grams of cocaine, two grams crystal methamphetamine, and seven Ecstasy pills.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
