The mother and daughter killed Monday afternoon in a car- PODS transport truck collision on Allied Drive are identified as Shirley June Bell, 68, of Saindon Street, and her daughter, Tina M. Osborne, 43, of Goodlettsville.
Osborne was driving her 2003 Buick Century north on Keystone Avenue. A witness told investigators Osborne made a complete stop at a stop sign before pulling out in front of the truck that was traveling east on Allied Drive at 2:15 p.m. The truck was transporting a PODS storage unit and struck the Buick in the front driver’s side door.
Osborne died at the scene. Her mother, a front seat passenger, was transported to Southern Hills Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Both women were wearing their seatbelts.
The truck driver, Michael Robinson, 45, of Reagan Run, was transported to Baptist Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Osborne’s failure to yield appears to be the contributing factor to this fatal crash.
