
Undercover detectives assigned tofive of the department’s six precincts this week charged 107 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 21 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Haywood Lane, Shepard Street, and Bell Road. Seized were 3 grams of cocaine, 1.73 pounds of marijuana, one weapon, and one vehicle.
West Precinct detectives charged 24 persons as the result of investigations in the 1800 block of Jefferson Street, the 3700 block of Charlotte Pike, the 2900 block of Primrose Circle, the 1400 block of Ireland Street, and Church Street at 18th Avenue North. Seized were 57.8 grams of cocaine, 2 grams of marijuana, and one weapon.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 25 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Lebanon Pike, Millwood Drive, and Bridgeway Drive. Seized were 5 grams of cocaine and 15 grams of marijuana.
North Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Simpkins Street, Dove Place, 26th Avenue North, Due West Avenue, Buena Vista Pike, Farmview Drive, Anderson Road, Village Trail, and Dennis Drive. Seized were 8 grams of cocaine, 350 grams of marijuana, 1 gram of heroin, 29 various pills, three weapons, two vehicles, and $3,224 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged 17 persons as the result of investigations in the 200 block of Cleveland Street, Dickerson Pike, Trinity Lane at Brick Church Pike, Ellington Parkway at Douglas Avenue, South 6th Street at Lenore, and Shelby Avenue. Seized were 2 grams of cocaine, 4 grams of marijuana, and 19 Dilaudid pills.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
