North Precinct detectives this evening charged two teenagers with aggravated robbery in a Sunday night carjacking at Hadley Park.
Marcellas Knox, 17, of Batavia Street, and Dominque Johnson, 16, of Clifton Avenue, were positively identified by the 17-year-old victim. Johnson is accused of luring the teenager to the park around 7 p.m. where he was carjacked at gunpoint.
West Precinct Officer Joe Hooper spotted the carjacked Chevrolet Monte Carlo this afternoon as it was being driven by Knox on 26th Avenue North near Felicia Avenue. Upon seeing the officer, Knox stopped the car and fled on foot, but was apprehended a short time later. Johnson stayed inside the Monte Carlo and was also arrested.
Two other passengers who bailed from the car this afternoon are still at large, but are not considered suspects in the carjacking.
