Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s six precincts this week charged 106 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged 11 persons as the result of investigations on Paragon Mills Road, Patricia Drive, Brenda Lane, Murfreesboro Pike, and Plus Park Boulevard. Seized were 34 grams of cocaine, one-half pound of marijuana, three weapons, and $2,735 cash.

West Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations in the 1800 block of Jefferson Street, the 3100 block of Clifton Avenue, the 2100 block of Charlotte Pike, 14th Avenue North at Meharry Boulevard, and on 27th Avenue North at Clifton Avenue. Seized were 35.4 grams of cocaine, three pounds of marijuana, and 100 Ecstasy pills.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 16 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Lebanon Pike, Millwood Drive, and Lincoln Street. Seized were four grams of cocaine.

North Precinct detectives charged 29 persons as the result of investigations on Saunders Avenue, Meadow Road, Buchanan Street, Underwood Street, 23rd Avenue North, Cumberland Avenue, Highland Trace Drive, Grover Street, and Whites Creek Pike. Seized were 24.4 grams of cocaine, 15.3 ounces of marijuana, 36 various pills, four weapons, one vehicle, and $1,977 cash.

East Precinct detectives charged 28 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, North 2nd Street, Shelby Avenue at South 10th Street, Due West Avenue, and Saunders Avenue. Seized were 113 grams of cocaine, 112 grams of marijuana, 48 various pills, and $390 cash.

Central Precinct detectives arrested two persons as the result of investigations on 11th Avenue North at Jefferson Street. Seized were 95 Ecstasy pills.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
