Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s six precincts this week charged 116 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on East Ridge Drive, Tampa Drive, Murfreesboro Pike, and Plus Park Boulevard. Seized were 36 grams of cocaine and 1.55 pounds of marijuana.

West Precinct detectives charged 23 persons as the result of investigations on Cabot Drive at Annex Avenue, the 200 block of Queen Street, Jefferson Street, 25th Avenue North at Clifton Avenue, the 2800 block of Batavia Street, and the 9000 block of Sawyer Brown Road. Seized were 15 grams of cocaine, 555 grams of marijuana, and three weapons.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 23 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Lafayette Street, Parris Avenue, Millwood Drive, Lewis Street, and Fairfield Avenue. Seized were two grams of cocaine and 53 grams of marijuana.

North Precinct detectives charged 30 persons as the result of investigations on Gallatin Pike, Brick Church Pike, Trinity Lane, Knowles Street, Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard, Osage Street, Cephas Street, 40th Avenue North, Clifton Avenue, Dickerson Pike, Hite Street, and Clarksville Pike. Seized were 108.5 grams of marijuana, 14.6 of cocaine, seven Xanax pills, two weapons, two vehicles, and $10,289 cash.

East Precinct detectives charged 17 persons as the result of investigations on Trinity Lane, Dickerson Pike, North 1st Street at Oldham Street, Fatherland Street at South 11th Street, South 6th Street at Sylvan Street, the 200 block of Shelby Avenue, Auction Way, Jones Avenue, and South 5th Street at Summer Place. Seized were three grams of cocaine, 8.8 grams of marijuana, 12.5 Dilaudid pills, one Valium pill, one weapon, and $737 cash.

Central Precinct detectives arrested three persons as the result of investigations on 4th Avenue South at Elm Street. A small amount of cocaine was seized.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
