Suspects are being sought in the murder of a Memphis man early Tuesday morning.J.C. Williams, 43, was shot and killed on South 8th Street near Sylvan Street.

East Precinct detectives say Williams was driving a stolen black Chevrolet Cobalt.According to Williams’ passenger, they were in the area to purchase drugs when three men, described as black, drove up in an early 2000 model red Pontiac Grand Am with dark tinted windows. The passenger told investigators a 25 to 30-year old man fired a shot into the car striking Williams at 1:20 a.m. Williams’ body was found in a grassy area near the stolen car.
