Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s six precincts this week charged 108 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged 17 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Harding Place, Tampa Drive, and Claiborne Street. Seized were 52.5 grams of cocaine, four grams of marijuana, 51 Lortab pills, 44 Schedule IV pills, and $900 cash.

West Precinct detectives charged 24 persons as the result of investigations in the 700 block of 45th Avenue North, in the 300 block of Kingsview Drive, in the 1200 block of 14th Avenue South, on Susannah Drive, and on 4th Avenue South. Seized were 415.8 grams of cocaine, four pounds of marijuana, 47 Lortab pills, six weapons, two vehicles, and electronic equipment valued at $74,082.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 18 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Claiborne Street at 2nd Avenue South, and Lafayette Street. Seized were 17 grams of cocaine, eight grams of marijuana, 37 various pills, two weapons, one vehicle, and $150 cash.

North Precinct detectives charged 25 persons as the result of investigations on East Old Hickory Boulevard, 24th Avenue North, 40th Avenue North, Berkley Drive, Clarksville Pike, Gallatin Pike South, and North Graycroft Avenue. Seized were 92 grams of marijuana, four ounces of cocaine, 676 various pills, two weapons, four vehicles, and $4145 cash.

East Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Dew Street, Crescent Hill Road, Avalon Drive, Rosebank Avenue, Dickerson Pike, Lucile Street, Straightway Avenue and North 14th Street, Meridian Street, South 7th Street at Main Street, Fern Avenue, Petway Street, Grace Street, Trinity Lane, Shelby Avenue, Boscobel Street, and 4th Avenue North. Seized were 8.2 grams of cocaine, one gram of marijuana, four Dilaudid pills, one weapon, one vehicle, and $1,570 cash.

Central Precinct detectives arrested four persons as the result of investigations on 4th Avenue North at Garfield Street, 4th Avenue South at Elm Street, and 6th Avenue South at Mulberry Street. A small amount of marijuana was seized.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
