Undercover detectives assigned to the department's six precincts this week charged 106 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on Old Hickory Boulevard , Pillow Street , and Paragon Mills Road . Seized were 45 grams of cocaine, 253.9 grams of marijuana, 2,866 various pills, six weapons, two vehicles, and $2,850.00 cash.
West Precinct detectives charged 27 persons as the result of investigations at 16 th Avenue North and Jo Johnston Avenue , on the 4000 block of Media Street , at 10 th Avenue North and Jefferson Street , and on Susannah Court . Seized were 18.5 grams of cocaine, 3 pounds of marijuana, 56 grams of hashish, 20 Lortab pills, 90 Soma pills, 30 Clonazepam pills, one weapon, and one vehicle.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 19 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Lafayette Street , Perkins Street , Lewis Street , Fesslers Lane , and Village Green. Seized were two grams of crack, four ounces of marijuana, and one weapon.
North Precinct detectives charged 34 persons as the result of investigations on Old Ezell Road , Cliff Drive , Masonwood Drive , Haynes Park Drive , Fairview Road, 38 th Avenue North , Drakes Branch Road , Cephas Street , Meadow Road , at 40 th Avenue North and Clifton Avenue , and on Brick Church Pike. Seized were 175.8 pounds of marijuana, 44.5 grams of cocaine, ten weapons, four vehicles, and $5 , 849.00 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged ten persons as the result of investigations in the 800 and 1800 blocks of Dickerson Pike, in the 100 block of Lucile Street, in the 800 and 900 blocks of Shelby Avenue, in the 1000 block of Joyce Street, in the 1400 block of McKennie Avenue, in the 1500 block of Rosedale Avenue, in the 1500 block of Jones Avenue, in the 2500 block of Flamingo Drive, in the 1800 block of Jefferson Street, in the 1900 block of Avalon Drive, at Dickerson Pike and Trinity Lane, at Dickerson Pike and Cleveland Street, at South 10 th Street and Shelby Avenue, at South 9 th Street and Shelby Avenue, at South 7 th Street and Sylvan Street, at South 7 th Street and Dew Street, and on North 2 nd Street. Seized were 7.9 grams of cocaine, two pounds 7.3 grams of marijuana, and $1,475.00 cash.
Central Precinct detectives charged two persons as the result of investigations on Lafayette Street , and on Scovel Street.Seized were 11 grams of cocaine and $1,089.00 cash.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
