Hermitage Precinct detectives are continuing their investigation into Thursday night’s fatal shooting at Wynstone Apartments on Millwood Drive. Ramsis Iskandar, 66, of Kirby Drive, was in the parking lot at 11:30 p.m. when he was shot in his chest and legs. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died today.
Investigators say moments before Iskandar was shot, two armed male black suspects robbed Jose Santos Lopez Carranza, 43. He had just gotten out of his car in the parking lot when the robbers demanded his wallet. Carranza complied and, fearing that he would be shot, crawled under a car. The suspects walked away and Carranza soon heard the shots fired at Iskandar. Carranza and Iskandar did not know each other.
Carranza said one of the suspects was wearing a red bandana over his face. The other’s face was uncovered.
