
Investigation by the FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force, which includes Metro police officers, has led to the identity ofthe suspect in two 2005 bank robberies.
Orlando Mandrello Reames, 31, has been indicted federally ontwo counts of bank robbery. Reames is charged with the January 18, 2005, AEDC Federal Credit Union robbery at 6201 Centennial Boulevard, and with the June 7, 2005, robberyof SunTrust Bank’s 3410 Gallatin Road branch.
Reames’ accomplice in the AEDC Federal Credit Union robbery, Clinton Green, 30, pleaded guilty to the robbery and is awaiting sentencing.
Reames is currently serving a six-year sentence for possession of cocaine with intent to sell. In addition to the federal bank robbery charges, he is also awaiting trial for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and for possession of a handgun.
