Hit and Run investigators are asking for the public's assistance in locating the driver of a car who ran over and fatally injured a woman on Dickerson Pike Friday evening.
Agnes Grant, 32, of Brenda Lane in Antioch, was walking north on Dickerson Pike near Ben Allen Road at about 5:15 p.m. on the way to her job at a nearby Captain D's when she was struck from behind by a northbound car. Grant was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died from her injuries Saturday.
A witness today provided information that a gray sedan with a broken passenger side window struck Grant and kept going. The car possibly sustained damage to the right side headlight area as a result of the collision.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision Friday evening, or anyone with information on the vehicle involved, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
