FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

January 16, 2007

Middle Tennessee police officers and members of the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task force are investigating three recent bank robberies committed by the same man.

At 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, the suspect entered Regions Bank’s 181 Belle Forrest Circle branch in Bellevue. He showed a robbery note to a teller and told her, “No alarms and no one will get hurt.” The teller complied and the robber fled the bank with cash.

The suspect is a white man who stands approximately 5’10’ tall. He wore a dark colored ball cap with an American flag and eagle emblem, and a jacket. His description matches an attempted bank robbery in Inglewood and a bank robbery in Hendersonville, both of which occurred on January 11.

Anyone recognizing the suspect from the banks’ surveillance photos is urged to contact the Violent Crimes Task Force at 232-7500 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
