This week Nashville Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $1000 cash for clues called in to 74-CRIME that help solve this aggravated assault on Dickerson Road in east Nashville.
On Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009 at approximately 7:30 in the evening, a man became involved in an argument outside of a market in the 1800 block of Dickerson Road, with two other men. According to witnesses the man was intoxicated and got into his truck. He started up the truck, put it in gear and drove directly at the two men he argued with earlier. He struck one man with his truck. The man became wedged inside the wheel well of the truck as the man drove onto Dickerson Road and headed north. The man was dragged four blocks and over 1000 feet down the road before he was ejected from the wheel well. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and suffered permanent injuries.
The driver of the truck was described as being a male white, in his mid 50’s. He was driving an early 1980’s style pickup truck that appeared to be white with a yellow stripe. It could be a Chevrolet or GMC style truck.
If you have information which might help Metro Police solve this aggravated assault with a motor vehicle in the 1800 block of Dickerson Road in east Nashville, call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. If the information results in the arrest and prosecution, Nashville Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of $1000 cash.
