Crime of the Week, March 25, 2008

This week Nashville Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $1000 cash, for clues called in to 74-CRIME that help solve this robbery of the Phillips 66 store on Murfreesboro pike in south Nashville.

On Monday, January 5th, 2008 at approximately 4:35 in the afternoon, a man approached the counter at the Phillips 66 market at 1915 Murfreesboro Pike and acted like he was making a purchase.  Another man entered the store with a gun drawn and wearing a mask. The gunman jumped over the counter and robbed the clerk.  After the robbery the gunman ran out the door with the customer chasing him.  Video showed that the customer was actually assisting the gunman before and after the robbery.

The customer was described as a male black in his late teens or early 20’s.  He was wearing a white hoodie and black jeans.  He was five feet eight inches tall and weighed about 175 pounds.  The gunman was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans and was also in his late teens or early 20’s.  He pulled a ski mask down as he entered the store but not before the surveillance system got a good picture of his face.
