Crime of the Week, February 12, 2008
This week Nashville Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $1000 cash, for clues called in to 74-CRIME that help solve this robbery of the Wilson Bank and Trust in hermitage.
On Friday, December 21st, at approximately six in the evening, a man followed two young children through the door of the Wilson Bank and Trust at 4736 Andrew Jackson Parkway near Lebanon road. He was wearing a mask and had a pistol in his hand. He went to the first teller and demanded money. After getting the money from her, he did the same to the next two tellers. He went out the same door that he entered through and ran to the fence behind the bank. He walked into the darkness and was last seen heading toward the Jackson Meadow Condominiums next door.
The FBI violent crimes task force is looking for the man who was described as a male black, approximately 30 years old with a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, blue denim pants and a blue bandana over his face. Detectives have reason to believe that he may be the same man that robbed the same bank on September 27th. At that time he was wearing a Halloween mask. Detectives hope that someone may remember a man who had both masks in his possession in the last few months and call Crime Stoppers to share their suspicions.
Wilson Bank and Trust cares about their employees and customers and that is why they are offering an additional $5000 reward in addition to the $1000 reward from crime stoppers.
If you have information about who robbed the Wilson Bank and Trust on Andrew Jackson parkway in Hermitage, call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. If the information results in the arrest and prosecution, Nashville Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of $1000 cash.
Crime stoppers will also pay up to $1000 for clues called in to 74-CRIME on any other major crime, wanted person, stolen property or drugs. Callers remain anonymous, they will only be known by the code number they are issued.
