Crime of the Week
September 25, 2007
This week Nashville Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $1000 cash for clues called in to 74-CRIME that help solve this robbery of the Taco Bell in the Rivergate area.
On Saturday, June 02, 2007 at approximately 2:30 in the morning, employees at the Taco Bell at 2100 North Gallatin Road were cleaning the restaurant and preparing to leave when three masked men entered the store. One man took the manager to the safe and ordered her to open it. The other two robbed the remaining employees of their money. When the manager told the gunman that the safe was on a time lock, he became angry and pistol whipped her. He made her empty the cash register and give him the cash. The three men ran out the door toward conference drive where they disappeared into the night.
The three men looked to be young male blacks in dark clothing. Two were short and one was about six feet tall. The tall robber was wearing faded blue jeans, a brown shirt and had a dark leather baseball hat. All three were wearing black or blue bandanas. The tall man also had a deep voice. All the robbers appeared to be in their late teens or early 20’s.
The robbery was caught on surveillance video. You can view pictures of it by going to www.newschannel5.com. Click on the news tab and then onto Crime Stoppers. North precinct detectives hope that someone will recognize the men and call Crime Stoppers to share what they know.
