This week Nashville Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $1000 cash for clues called in to 74-CRIME that help solve the murder of Ramis Iskandar on Millwood Drive in south Nashville.
On Thursday, February 08, 2007 at approximately eleven thirty that night, Ramis Iskandar pulled into the parking lot of Wynstone Apartments on Millwood Drive. He was unaware that an armed robbery of a person was in progress a few parking spaces away. The gunmen saw Mr. Iskandar and decided to rob him also. He began yelling and resisting the robbery. The first victim crawled under a car to get away from the men when both gunmen fired shots at Mr. Iskandar and fled on foot. Mr. Isakndar was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital where he was rushed into surgery. Doctors were unable to save him and he died the next day.
The gunmen were described as two male blacks. One was tall and the other was shorter and heavier. Both were wearing black clothing and the shorter one had a red bandana over the lower half of his face.
Witnesses saw three vehicles nearby. Police do not know if they were the suspects or possibly witnesses. Detectives would like to locate the drivers to see if they have information to help the investigation. One car was an older 4-door Mercury Grand Marquis that was dull silver, the second car was a silver Lincoln and the third was a small, older, dark blue pickup truck that was driven by a male black.
