Fugitives
The Fugitive Unit is a part of the Warrants Division which, in turn, is a portion of the Investigative Services Bureau. The Unit is responsible for the processing of fugitives who are wanted by the criminal justice system in Davidson County and are outside of Tennessee, as well as fugitives who are apprehended within the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department and are wanted by another state.
The Fugitive Unit consists of four detectives and one sergeant and handles hundreds of cases yearly involving fugitives wanted by Tennessee and other states.
